Spain Nylon Outdoor Flag
Spains flag consists of three horizontal stripes a red stripe at both the top and bottom, with a yellow stripe (twice the width as that of the red) at the center. Toward the left and centered in the yellow stripe is nations coat of arms, which is made up of a crowned shield, quartered (each quarter displaying the badges of original Spanish kingdoms) and flanked by crowned pillars representing Gibraltar and Cueta. Wrapped around the pillars is a red scroll with the motto Plus Ultra which' translates to there is more beyond. This flag was formally adopted in 1981 however, there is also a civil Spanish flag which, while identical in format, does not display the coat of arms.
