MAURITIUS Adopted in 1968, the flag of Mauritius consists of four equal-sized horizontal stripes - the top stripe is red (for the country's struggle for independence); the next one is blue (for the Indian Ocean,), third from the top yellow (signifying the country's struggle for independence); and bottom stripe is green (symbolizing the evergreen vegetation of the land and its agriculture).
