IVORY COAST - Featuring three equal vertical bands of orange (hoist side), white (middle), and green (right), the flag of Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) was adopted in 1959. The orange color is intended to represent the savannah grasslands - The white is indicative of the country’s flowing rivers - The green is symbolic of the nation’s coastal forests.
