GABON – Gabon’s flag, which was adopted in 1960, consists of three equal horizontal stripes. The top stripe is green – which stands for the country’s lush vegetation and forests; the middle one is yellow – representing the equator, which runs through Gabon; and the bottom stripe is blue – symbolizing the Atlantic Ocean.
