ESTONIA A horizontal tribar made up of three equal size stripes constitutes Estonias flag, which was adopted in 1990. The top stripe is blue, which stands for faith, loyalty and devotion. The middle stripe is black, and symbolizes the dark past and suffering of the Estonian people. The bottom white stripe represents enlightenment, virtue, hope, and freedom.
