DENMARK The Danish flag is a striking red banner emblazoned with a bold white cross, the vertical stripe of which is off center, positioned toward the left. The cross, representing Christianity, is commonly used by other Nordic countries such as Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland. Adopted in 1625, Denmarks flag is generally considered the oldest continuously used national flag in the world.
