CYPRUS - The National Flag of Cyprus flag consists of a white base charged with a yellow/golden map of the island at its center. Directly beneath the map float two green olive branches symbolizing peace between the two communities occupying the country (the Turks and Greeks). The Cypriot flag was adopted in 1960.
