CONGO A flag made up of a green triangle occupying the upper left hand corner and a red triangle occupying the lower right hand corner separated by a thick yellow diagonal stripe that runs diagonally (lower left corner up to the upper right hand corner) is representative of the Republic of the Congo. This flag was initially adopted in 1958, abandoned in 1970, and later readopted in 1991.
