Burundi Nylon Outdoor Flag
The Burundi flag was adopted in 1957. It consists of a white St. Andrews Cross dividing the banner into four triangles; red triangles at the top and bottom, and green triangles at the left and the right. At the center of the cross is a white circle containing three red six point stars each of which is bordered in green. These three stars in refer to the words in the national motto "Unité, Travail, Progrès" (French for "Unity, Work, Progress").
